East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH) is flying high after striking up an exciting new partnership with Norwich Airport.
It has been named as the airport’s official charity of the year and is set to benefit from fundraising activity throughout the next 12 months, starting from 1st April.
To celebrate the partnership, Norwich Airport’s Managing Director, Richard Pace, and colleagues recently visited The Nook – EACH’s purpose-built hospice in Framingham Earl.
They had the opportunity to see first-hand the essential care and support the charity provides to families across the region.
“We’re delighted to support EACH as our charity of the year,” said Richard, who was shown around by Service Manager Louise Gower, Corporate Fundraising Manager Caroline Allen and EACH’s Senior Corporate Fundraiser for Norfolk, Laura Southcott.
“The work it does is truly inspiring, providing care and support to children and families when they need it most.
“Our team is looking forward to fundraising and working closely with EACH to raise awareness and make a real difference.”
Norwich Airport staff will be organising a variety of fundraising events throughout the year, with passengers able to learn more about the charity and make donations.
In addition, a special behind-the-scenes tour is being arranged for the siblings of children supported by EACH.
Senior Corporate Fundraiser Laura said: “We’re so grateful and excited about this partnership.
“To have the support of our city’s airport is an incredible boost and will undoubtedly help raise awareness of our vital work, caring for children and supporting families across Norfolk and the rest of East Anglia.
“It’s also going to make a tangible difference financially, given that we reply so heavily on donations and fundraising activity.
“Only 15 per cent of our income comes from the government and statutory sources, so partnerships like this are incredibly helpful, and we very much look forward to working together.”
