“We were blessed with a gorgeous, sunny afternoon, and our hospice grounds looked stunning” – families get to meet cute animals, hunt for eggs and make flower posies during Milton’s Bunny Hunt Day

Spring was in the air during an afternoon of Easter fun organised by East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH).

Nearly 100 people representing 26 families attended the charity’s Bunny Hunt Day at Milton.

Highlights included the chance to meet and stroke cute animals, make posy bouquets, find clues to win prizes and decorate Easter biscuits.

“We were blessed with a gorgeous, sunny day, and our hospice grounds looked stunning,” said Ceri Dobson, EACH’s Groups and Events Coordinator at Milton.

“There was a lovely, relaxed feel to the whole afternoon, and the animals proved a particularly big hit.

“After posing for a photo with our flower archway, they were then able to spread out and enjoy our beautiful grounds.

“We had some amazing feedback afterwards, and it would seem everyone had a fantastic time.”

Wycomb Pastures Mobile Petting Farm brought along some furry friends and children got to meet sheep, bunnies, guinea pigs and ferrets, as well as a pony and goat.

Meanwhile, Milton’s Easter bunny handed out egg hunt sheets, and the children then had to search for hanging, coloured eggs.

There were also hidden bunny pictures in the sensory garden. Each had a letter on its tummy which, when arranged in a certain way, spelt out a Spring-themed word.

Willow and Wreath Florist kindly ran a posy-making activity, which families were able to take home, and guests decorated their own Easter biscuits.

Milton’s Bunny Hunt Day, which was for families receiving care and support from EACH, took place on Saturday, 12th April.
