“We’ve been accumulating items for several weeks, and the shop is going to be packed with high-quality, affordable stock, of all sizes, types and colours” – dresses, suits and accessories will be up for grabs at a special wedding fair

Soon-to-be-wed couples and their families have the chance to pick up bargains at a special bridal fair being organised by East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH).

Staff and volunteers at EACH’s Aylsham Road store will be rolling out the ‘wed’ carpet on Sunday, 13th April.

For one day only, the shop will be full of preloved bride and bridesmaid dresses, suits, fascinators, hats, handbags and shoes.

“It’s something I tried once before, in a previous role, and I’m sure it’s going to be extremely popular and successful,” said shop manager Philippa Cleverley.

“We’ve been accumulating items for several weeks, and the shop is going to be packed with high-quality, affordable stock, of all sizes, types and colours.

“We’ll be selling everything wedding-related, from dresses to accessories, and it’s going to be great fun.

“Getting married is an expensive business, so hopefully people will be able to pick up bargains at a fraction of the price they’d find elsewhere.”

The shop is usually closed on a Sunday but, for one day only, will be open for business from 11am until 4pm.

There is a car park nearby, and, as well as grabbing bargains, shoppers will be able to get in the wedding spirit with a complimentary glass of prosecco or orange juice.

“I’ve been here just over a year, and this is undoubtedly going to be a highlight,” added Philippa.

“I’ve worked for a few charities, but this is the best, by far.

“EACH is a great cause and really cares about its employees and volunteers. There’s always someone on the end of the phone for help and advice, and it’s a great place to work.

“We’re blessed to have a lovely team and lots of loyal, regular customers.”
